Zendikar Spoiler! — 4 Confirmed Commons

While most of Zendikar was spoiled last week, they have yet to be con­firmed. BUT the fol­low­ing four cards are 100% true Zendikar cards, they are included in the four decks which were demoed by Wiz­ards at their Plane­chase unveil­ing demo dur­ing Gen­Con 2009. These cards are 100% REAL and were pointed out and dis­cussed with Trick (me) by Mark Purvis, a Wiz­ards of the Coast employee.

I only took a photo of two of the cards, and they were too blurry to be use­ful. I will get bet­ter pho­tos tomor­row hope­fully. Pho­tos are included below. They are not any higher res­o­lu­tion because part of the agree­ment with Wiz­ards was that we shoot them in sleeves and at enough of a dis­tance to avoid any pos­si­ble issues.

The expan­sion sym­bol on the card is NOT the Zendikar expan­sion sym­bol, it is the Plane­chase deck sym­bol. If you’re look­ing for my thoughts on Plane­chase it later tonight or early tomor­row morn­ing. But I will say this, it was a 100% pos­i­tive review from every per­son who I spoke to at the demo. Sure I had some ideas of things I would have liked, but that is not a neg­a­tive on it.

NOW, onto the four cards. All four of these cards are com­mons, so none are earth shat­ter­ing but they will give you a look into Zendikar avail­able only here at ManaNation!

Did you see the new sub­type? — TRAP. It allows instants to be cast at a cheaper cost than nor­mal, or do dif­fer­ent things? I only saw the first part but I can guess there is the latter.

Now note I do not have col­lec­tor num­bers, because these were printed in the Plane­chase set they had their Plane­chase col­lec­tor num­bers and not Zendikar’s so I did not have that info. But I con­firmed that the art is the same that is present on the Zendikar cards, so the artist info is correct.

Man­a­Na­tion will also be doing a spe­cial pre­view. Start­ing on the 21st we will be reveal­ing a seg­ment of our card, and it is going to be awe­some. We will be doing a three part reveal of our card, and it will be hap­pen­ing on three con­sec­u­tive Fri­days, 8/21, 8/28 and 9/4 so keep on check­ing back with us to learn more about Wizard’s upcom­ing set!
