Wizards Hoping to Crash Webserver

Update: Wiz­ards’ big announce­ment has been revealed to be ‘Magic the Gath­er­ing — Tac­tics’ a video game part­ner­ship with Sony Online.

Mon­days’ site update saw the now well known “Announc­ing” image in the Arcana sec­tion of Wizards.com. But instead of just being an announce­ment, it is a notice to visit the site again at noon EST, or 9am PST for the real announce­ment. What­ever the rea­son for the “sched­uled” announce­ment, it seems likely to cause their servers to be hit hard and pos­si­bly crashed under the onslaught of rabid Magic fans.
