  1. Just a quick question about slivers in general: why do people hate them so much? Personally, they are my favorite to play with because they work so dang well together.

  2. it’s a love/hate relationship.

the real headache is the mirror since both players get plusses. Sometimes it’s almost to much math. that’s coming from a math teacher.

  3. I love and hate slivers. Steering a sliver deck feels great, because pretty much every card in the deck syncs with everything else, and you wind up building up steam very very quickly. However, when facing Slivers, even at a multiplayer table, there’s a fine line between death and victory. People either see you’re playing slivers and beat you to death before you can do anything about it, or you manage to stay under the radar before you explode and win. Multiplayer tables hate slivers for that.

And speaking of “every card in the deck syncs with everything else,” I can foresee Allies becoming that way as well, but with slightly less gross impact per creature.

  4. I bought the Sliver deck 2 days ago and I am very happy with what came of it. All foil deck with a foil deck case, what more do you need? Sure it was somewhat expensive ($38) but man am I happy. When I played my friends they were all amazed at the power that these creatures gave each other. My rating is a 5:5. :D
