Time to continue the hunt for the escaped planeswalker, Jace the [Mindsculptor]. During day 1 we heard from stores in Austin and Brussels, and here on day 2 we launch to Edmonds, WA and Chippendale Australia.
The new Jace so far:

Update 12:40am: The Australia store has the piece but won’t reveal it online yet. I updated the name of the Edmonds/Seattle store to be the correct one.
Update 12:48am: The casting cost is 2UU. Pictured below:
Update 11:37am: Added back the original Seattle store since the location is being called into question.
Update 12:44pm: The store should be opening in fifteen minutes and we expect a phone call followed by a photo sent soon after. We have two ‘agents’ heading to the site to acquire the piece.
Update 1:00pm: We have the piece, it is the rest of the art and the top of the card! The full name is ‘Jace the Mindsculptor.’ Reinhart from GatheringMagic.com was at the store to get the piece. Picture uploaded to yfrog here.
Update 1:25pm: We’re waiting on a scan of the piece to be used in modifying the above composite image. Thanks to MTG Color Pie for driving out and getting it for us.
Seems like you’ve got the Edmonds games store wrong. Should probably be World of Collections (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=47.78433,+-122.344838&sll=47.784168,-122.344055&sspn=0.008622,0.016823&g=47.78433,+-122.34483&ie=UTF8&ll=47.784287,-122.34456&spn=0.001078,0.002103&t=h&z=19&iwloc=r0)
After being to the piece and back, here’s what I report:
- They gave out an actual cut-out piece of the card to the first person who asked. Sadly, it wasn’t me.
– The big card is printed and glued to a foam back (i.e. no Magic card back, which would have been pretty cool).
– He (the store operator) got the FedEx yesterday, so maybe tomorrow’s stores are getting theirs today. He was asked if he wanted to be part of a promotion a month ago, and said sure. The stores who are part of this know they’re part of this but Wizards is keeping this tightly to the chest.
– He knows as much as we do about the whole promotion, and he had to do a little research on the internet when he got his piece.
– Today’s pieces look like they were cut from different cards since they have more then the piece showing. The piece came with a foam surrounding including more of the card which allowed us to see the second loyalty arrow which IS pointing down (shown by my horrible pic here: http://tweetphoto.com/6484464)
– He was getting phone calls and e-mails all morning, but decided to let the spirit of the thing happen and let people come in (Sorry Trick!). Personally, I hope other shop owners do the same thing. He feels very honored to be a part of this promotion.
– If you’re in the area of seeing a piece, it’s cool to go check out. Hopefully the owners continue to display them (Like this one has done).
