Planeswalker Hunt Day 1 – Completed!

Wizards has released the first two locations, as well as showing us what the puzzle will look like!

  1. Day 1.
    1. 30.324743, -97.743041Pat’s Games in Austin TX.
    2. 50.848563, 4.365096 – Outpost in Brussels, Belgium.

We are still waiting on the actual pieces to turn up. We may have a problem with ‘Pat’s Games’ as it lists Monday as a day where it is closed all day, which could hamper our ability to acquire the piece meaning we’ll need to wait until tomorrow.

The above image depicts how the card is divided up. As you can see, it’s in the shape of the Planeswalker symbol though some of the pieces will be rather undesirable (being short on juicy information.)

Update: Outpost in Brussels has confirmed it is a piece of the new Jace Mindsculptor. Source.

Jace piece #1

Update: We reached Pat’s Games! They have the piece, the seeker has already come by and now we should have a picture of it for you all very soon!

Update 12:46pm EST: We have the piece, it has been added above to the conglomerate picture. Here is the piece by itself. Thanks to Pat’s Games for providing ManaNation with the photo of their piece. This should be all we get for today, be sure to come back tomorrow for day 2 of the hunt!

  1. Really? /facepalm. Even though I’ve never liked the practice of closing a shop on Monday, this is a little silly. I like this idea of spoiling cards this way, but hopefully next time this error won’t happen (And hopefully the store would say “We aren’t open on this day, can we preview it on a different day?).

  2. It seems likely the store didn’t know they were receiving the piece. I’ve called three times, and emailed them. Am looking for any ManaNation fans in Houston to see if I can find someone who knows the owner.

  3. Pat’s Games is in Austin, not Houston, and yes, the first seeker has been there already.

  4. don’t know if this is the right section…but Rosewater spoiled the art for Bazaar Trader (rare Goblin) in today’s article

  5. @jimbo – Thanks, my mistake :)

@ron – Indeed. We leave most of that sort of stuff to MTGSalvation and GatheringMagic. Though we’ll see!

  6. We had to wait till the Seeker came in order to give the picture to Mananation. I had to check with Wizards of the Coast as to when we could share the picture.

Even though we are normally closed on Mondays, I came into the store to wait for a Seeker. The phone has been ringing continuously with Seekers about picking up the piece. I even had one person call from Oregon to see if they somehow could get the piece even though they couldn’t actually get here today.
