Magic the Gath­er­ing’s stag­ger­ing suc­cess is largely attrib­uted to it’s com­pet­i­tive for­mats that allow play­ers to com­pete for spots on its Pro Tour. This page, and it’s sub-pages, are meant to help explain the for­mats, as well as make expla­na­tions for newer play­ers about sub­tleties in the format.
