Duel of the Planeswalkers Expansion out Oct. 21st

Announced today from Wiz­ards is the release date for the upcom­ing Duel of the Planeswalk­ers expan­sion. The Xbox game has received lots of acco­lades and is cred­ited for bring­ing a large num­ber of play­ers back into the game. Matt Place, a mem­ber of R&D, whom we inter­viewed just a few weeks ago, was an inte­gral part in devel­op­ing the orig­i­nal game and this expansion.

The expan­sion will be avail­able for down­load on Xbox Live Arcade on Oct. 21st, 2009.

With the expan­sion you can duel Nicol Bolas and it also offers:

  • Three new playable decks, includ­ing Tezzeret’s “Relics of Doom” Planeswalker deck
  • Three new cards for each of the eight orig­i­nal decks to be unlocked
  • New Two-Headed Giant lev­els for 2 play­ers to work together
  • Three new puz­zle levels
  • A new single-player cam­paign to unlock Sarkhan Vol’s and Jace Beleren’s new decks

Price: 400 Microsoft Points.
ESRB: TEEN for Mild Blood, Mild Sug­ges­tive Themes, Vio­lent References.

  1. i was told there was a free nissa with this game like the gar­ruk card. now is that true or a some­one lying to me?
