Drafting with JBoots – M10 draft #1
Adding to our collection of writers, we’ve got Jon Boutin, one of the top Magic players in Canada. He’s currently ranked #4 in the DCI rankings for Canada, he’ll be playing at Worlds as a member of the Canadian Team, and he’ll be contributing M10 draft videos here for ManaNation.
Here we see “JBoots” draft a rather astonishing mono-black deck that I know I definitely wouldn’t want to face. He does a great job explaining his picks and his logic behind them, so sit back and watch as he drafts and builds this Magic 2010 draft.

What program is he using for the drafts? Is that MTGO?

Yep he’s drafting on MTGO, but I do not know what program he is recording it with.
dread warlock over whispersilk cloak is the right call. You draft really slow so I couldnt watch the rest though
How did the matches turn out?
The Warlock vs Cloak pick was pretty close and either pick would have been fine.
I would like to go back and pick the Cloak after the fact, but that might be because I didn’t take down the draft. :P
